schools out for the summer!!

Today is the last day of school!!! I think I am just as excited as the kids... Tonight we are going to celebrate and have fun and stay up as long as we want and eat junk and watch movies..
I love summer vacations it is always fun at our our house we never really go anywhere we just have a lot of fun being together. I always hate when summer comes to an end and they have to go back to school.Here is a pic of mylissa she graduated from middle school and will be in high school next year.. It's going to be crazy when the kids go back because all of my kids will be in school. Benny Boy will be in kindergarten and Shelly will be a senior.

So are your kids out of school if not when do they get out?

I wanted to share these super cute bracelets I made tonight but after taking 50 pix none of them showed how fabulous these baby bracelets look.

So I guess you are just going to have to take my word. I promise they are super cute! I can hardly wait to see them on my friends baby girl Noella sweet little wrist.. I am haveing so much fun makeing pink baby girl stuff.. Well I am off to make more . I will have to show you it all later..

I have referred to this deployment that Dale is on as a long vacation..

I guess this picture proves it.. Ok maybe not because he is in his uniform, the truth is I am just really jealous that I am not there with him.. He looks just so handsome standing under a palm tree .. I have always been a sucker for a man in uniform.. I love and miss you..

I love good things in the mail.

This is the Emiline apron.. I have loved this pattern since the first time I saw it a year ago. I tried ordering it shortly after it was printed but it sold out befor I could get my hands on it. So I hmmd and hodd until saturday when I received this an Emiline apron in the mail from a swap that I was in. Miss Monica made this for me . I was so so happy when I saw it I just squealed with delight. So of course I had to order the pattern today.. I have the perfect fabric to make my self one..
So what do you think about the Emiline? have you ever made it? Do you own one? I would love to know..

I dare you!!

This is to prove I am securer in my self and who I am.. My girls took this pic last Sunday . When we saw the pic we all started laughing and Mylissa pointed out that I looked like a witch. Rochelle then said well we know that pic wont end up on your blog. I said you are dang right it won't. Then Kadie said I dare you.. Well those who know me know I love a good dare...
Well I do look quite stunning if you squint your eyes just right.. LOL

Moonlight kisses

I love this purse... The fabric I used is from Heidi Grace Midnight kisses line and the pattern is one I made up..

I lined it with fun polka dot fabric and added a cute pocket and used a magnet snap to fasten it.I think the rounded shape of the handles and the fun button accents..

It was fun and easy to make, I like easy. I also like the size of the bag it's not to small and not to large.. Plus it's my favorite color combo.

I am going to start off by saying Dale is safe and thank you for your thoughts and prayers..Last night while Dale and I were talking on skype a bomb went off and gunfire erupted. I have to tell you it was one of the scariest things have ever dealt with. It all happened so quick. One minute we are talking and he's chilling out in shorts and a T shirt the next moment he has a helmet and a flack jacket on. He tells me they are under attack and makes a point to tell me how much he loves me. Then all I see for the next 20 mins is his empty bed room with faint sounds of gunfire in the back ground..He then comes in the room with a M16 and tells me that there is still gun fire going on out side the building and he's not sure what happened.I then here people talking and he is changing in to his uniform getting ready to leave the camp.I was scared but reassured by the holy spirit that he would be safe. They came back to camp and then told me it was an attack on the Governor of the Island they are on. They where still not sure why there was gunfire in there camp.There was a few injuries to the governors bodyguards but no casualties.If you want to hear it from Dales side he wrote about the attack on his blog along with pix and a video.Just clique HEREThanks again for your prayers and thoughts. They mean alot to Dale and I and the men he serves with..

Please pray for Dale and the airman and solders at his camp. I cant tell you whats going on but I am shaken to the core right now.Please pray for me as well so my heart will come down..Pray that I hear from Dale soon.Thanks..

Look what I just got.... From my kids via Daddys help.. I am such a lucky momma...Thank you Dale for being so thoughtfull... Have I told you latley that I love you!!!!!

How cute are these?

This is the first of my of my creations.. These cute little wash cloth suckers are so easy to make..

They also make great decorations for a baby showers and toppers on a present..
I saw them at a charity auction and looked at them and new I could figure out how to make them and I did.. Now I just want to make them all the time.. It's a good thing I have a lot of pregnant friends..

I really need to be creative..

But all I want to do is laze around in the hot sun, sometimes I am still in my jammie. (but don't tell anyone) I also have benn wearing flip flops(gasp) I git busted on that one on Friday when someone saw me with out heels..
Maybe today the creative bug will strike.. Maybe I will go look at my crafty stuff and it will inspire me.

Something to be grateful for

I am so grateful that when I went to the store yesterday most of the popsicles where sold out.
There where only a few boxes in the freezers.

Why dose make me happy? It's the first time ever since moving here to Alaska that I have ever seen such a thing.

You might be asking why Popsicles are being bought off the self?
The answer is it is ben wonderfully( do I dare say it) HOT the last week.
The whole 3 years I have been here this being my fourth summer I think I have experienced 5 day's like we have had this last week.

It's only been in the high 60's to mid 70's but it seems like 80's..
Kadie even said I don't think the whole time we have lived here that it's been hot when we have gotten in the car after a shopping trip..Yeah for hot cars!!

I pray that this whether last us until September.. That would be heaven..

I guess I am just a little bored at night with Dale gone so I have been reading a lot more than usual.
Yesterday I went to our local thrift store and found some great books and only spent 10. dollars..
I hot the shopaholic series ( cant believe they were all there.) I got The wedding by Nichols sparks ( I heart him) I also got a few naughty romance novels.. I love them for a quick read in to fantasy world.
