Pre- birthday fun!

On Friday night the day before Ben's birthday Dale and I took Ben out for a Birthday date.
A few weeks ago we were given game cards and 2 free buffets to ITS. So being on a tight budget like we are it was such a blessing.

Ben was excited to choose every thing cheesy to eat, Cheesy bread, mack and cheese, Cheese nachos and gold fish.

He even gave me a cheesy smile.

After a cheesy diner we took Showed Ben the game area.
I thought he was going to die from excitement.
He always talks about going to and arcade.

He played lots of games with his daddy and then the best part was......

Riding the kite flyer.

He was so super excited I loved his smile.

For a little boy who is scared of every thing he loves thrill rides.
A boy after my own heart!

After the dinner and games we took Benny to the 1.75 movie.
He has been dying to see MR. Poppers Penguins since the first time he saw the preview.
Mr. Benny loves penguins.
After the movies Ben was so tuckered out so we took him home.
When I tucked him in that night he kissed me and said Mom you and Dad are the best.
Melt my heart sweet.

Working together is fun to do!

Garrett and Ben Love monkey bread they ask me to make it all the time.
So today when they asked I said do you two want to make it?
They both nodded there heads yes.
So I got the recipe out and showed them what to do.

It was so sweet to watch them work together and even funnier hearing Garret speak to Ben as if he was Julia Child's.
I love it when my kids work so nicely together.
I can smell the monkey bread now i guess it's time to dig in.

The long ride.

Cleo and Garret taking a ride on the wild side!

A couple of weeks a go we went to Dales Parents house to get his Fiat.
While there we stole Cleo from his parents house.
With Cleo's long flowing mane from behind it looked like there
was a girl sitting in between Dale and Garrett.
I am sure Dale, Cleo and Garrett got some funny looks while driving down the highway.
To add to the Hilarity of a man a horse and a boy driving down the highway in a little red convertible.
They were stuck on the side of the highway foe 2 hours 45mins from home waiting for a tow truck.
Such as life when your a Wilderness!

Fire in the sky!

Or Maybe it is the sunset!
It smell like there is a forest fire or maybe someone in the neighborhood has a fire pit.
I am not sure why the sky over the mountains is so orange.
This is what the sky looks like just right of the mountains.
Crazy Colorado sky's.

Asking for prayers!

After a lot of thought and reading Scriptures I decided to use my blog to seek out prayers for our family.
It's been 18 days since Dale officially retired from the Air force and 18 days since we have had a pay check.
It's been scary for me knowing Dale has no job and no income coming in.
We have been blessed that we have savings and investments but they will only last so long.
I also really don't want to touch the investments if we don't have too.
Dale has been looking for a job for 3 months and nothing has come up yet he has been close twice but in the economy it's just hard.
We have been fasting and praying as a family for weeks and we feel that he will get a job soon we also feel that he has a better chance if we ask our friends and family to pray with us.
So here I am asking.
Please pray that Dale will get a job in the next 2 weeks.
Thanks..

Recovering!

A few days after we moved into the house I had a UTI I went to the DR and got on meds.
The meds I took caused a super rare side effect which caused my Ashlie tendon to partially rupture.
This was with in 24 hours of taking the meds.
2 days later I woke in pain from my kidneys I passed 2 stones that night and 3 a few days later.
Since then I have had a sever allergic reaction to green onions that caused me to have flue like symptoms for a week.
My sweet husband  did not know how bad things were until Monday night when I said I better make another DR appointment for my Kidneys .
I then told him what was going on and that I need a blessing.
He thought I was napping which I never do because I was hot all the time.
(I never complain when I am sick and I always just carry on.)
His Dad and him gave me a blessing on Tuesday and I already fill better.

Dale brought me flowers last night and that made me smile.
I am so grateful for the power of the priesthood and prayer.

Hail Yes!

Hail and Roses don't mix.
My poor bushes.

Hail or a marble?
Oh did I mention we just had a big Hail storm.
It was loud and exciting and fast.
I love living here!

The waveing man!

We were driving trough this very Artsy town and I started takeing pictuers to send to Shelly.
Dale and I both said at the same time this is a Shelly town.
This man saw me takeing pix and started waving at us.
So I had to take his picture.
He also did some poses that unfortunately turned out  blurry.
The thing that intrigued me about this man is, I could totally see my father and Father in Law doing the same thing.

The best 4th of July!

The Wilderness Family's 1st 4th of July in Colorado!
We started the day off with yummy baked french toast (recipe to come)

Then some friends called

And invited us to a pic nic.

We then headed off to the Air force Academy.

Played on the bounce houses for a bit.

Stood around and waited to get into the stadium.

To listen to the Phil Harmonic symphony.

We all enjoyed listening.
Benn Robbie and Garrett

Maddy Cat
And Mylissa

I enjoyed taking Pix of hot hubby

And little Benny.

We then listen to The Air Force Academy band.

The lights then went out and the magic began.
The show lasted about 35 mins and was amazing.
It was one of the best fire work shows that I have seen in a long time.
It was also the first year The academy hosted the Fire works show for the city.
The Wilderness family had the best time.
