Booty bag, crayon roll, apron and brownie pops..

All made before noon!
I am so happy I was really stressing last night wondering if I would get every thing done before I left.
I now just think I might,.

I first wiped up this crayon roll

For a class I will teach at church

Then I made the booty bag for Church as well.
I then quickly wiped up a bath towel apron while the brownies where cooking.
Now I just need to paint my toe nails,do the laundry, clean my closet,
buy last minute things for my trip, make diner, and the list goes on..

Who wants to help me sew?

Anyone, every one someone?
Ok no one.
I have so much I need to get done before I leave..
I need to make at least 2 more of my bath towel aprons

and a few other fun things like my lap top dust cover that's a must..

I know some of it can wait but you know when you just feel it needs to be done now!
That's how I am feeling.
My goal is to have all my Christmas sewing done by Dec 1st presents wrapped and sent on there way.
I know my self well enough if I don't do this they will be late.
Then to add to my anxiety it's snowing. Boo Boo Boo..

Now that I have ranted!

I've gotta feeling (woohoo) that tonight's gonna be a good night

that tonight's gonna be a good night

that tonight's gonna be a good good night

Feeling somewhat better..

Yesterday was just awful, I am glad it is over..
My tummy feels better for the most part now I just feel blah.
my tummy is turning just a little bit!
As Anne Marie pointed out at least I got sick before my trip.
She is absolutely right my trip would be pointless if I was sick.
I have no doubt that I will be 100% in the next few days.
Now I just have to finish up all the sewing I need to get done.

I am determined to get all these bibs and burp cloths done by days end. It might kill me but I will have them done.
Babies are being born and they need there prettys.
Ok none of the baby's are due for 2 weeks but you just never know.LOL

I just had to have them.

Sew my Kadie has the sewing bug and went to the local guilt shop to get fabric and some quilt books and came home with this fantastic book.

I kept oohing and awwing over all the pages.
I can hardly wait to create some of the fun creations inside.

Hooter hiders.

Whats a hooter hider you may ask some kinda strange apron no!
It's a nursing blanket you know a blanket you can hide the girls under while feeding the baby.
I totally wish they had these when I was in my baby stage, who ever invented it was a smart momma.
It was super easy to make once I figured out the boneing issue.
I made 2 of them in under an hour probably could have made 3 if I wasent on the phone.

I added this little detail.

A terry cloth rectangle so you can wipe milk off the babys face.

I used d rings on the straps so you can adjust how tight you want it.
I think I will use this technique in my next apron.
I really liked it.

Enough show and tell I better go get Ben so I can come home and make the matching burp rags and bibs
so I can give them to the soon to be mommy's that I am makeing for.

Starburst and gobstoppers!

My inspiration for this little ditty was gobstoppers and starburst!
I am in yet another apron swap and the theme is chocolate..
Yet when I get my partner she said she doesnt like chocolate she likes gobstoppers and starburst.
The gal is gutsy I can tell allready joining a chocolate themed swap then asking for something else.
My kinda gal!

The colors reminded me of starriest and I
love how the ball fringe looks like gobstoppers..
I am just hoping she wasent looking forward to a chocolate brown apron.
Now to finish all the million other things I need to get done.

Apron makeing !!

I have sew much sewing to do befor I leave on my trip to Colorado in less than 2 weeks that I am feeling just a
little bit over whelmed.
I know I will get it all done but I always get freaked out when I realize I am on a dead line.
I need to at least get this little ditty cut out today and sew up a few that I allready have in the works.
I just have one little setback every time I go to my options in town Wal-Mart or Joannes they are always out of every thing I need. I am always hearing it's in route.. Blahh blahh blahh..
It really drives me nut's because then I make a waisted trip to the sore and then end up buying fatquaters.

I never use these suckers but every time I walk in to a fabric store I end up buying a pack.
I think it's because they look like pretty wrapped presents.
Maybe I will make an apron with this one..
We will see..
I guess I better get back to work..

Family's can be together for ever..

To day our  primary aged children participated in the Sacrament meeting presentation.
Once a year the children from ages 3 to 11 sing have the opportunity to share with us  what they have learned during the year.
It is one of my favorite Sundays of the year.
I love watching the little ones they always make me laugh.
As I was sitting in the congregation watching the program I realised that I had only 3 children up there.
and 4 sitting down with Dale and I.
Then a thought occurred to me that this would have been the first year William would have participated.
My heart hurt a little bit in that moment.
Then the children sang the song Family's can be together forever.

"I have a family here on earth.
They are so good to me
I want to share my life with them
Through all eternity
families can be together forever
Though Heavenly Fathers plan
I always want to be with my own family
And the Lord has shown me how I can"

The song was my undoing I started crying but I also felt Williams presents in that moment.
Conferming that the words to the song was true.

Remembering William

Today October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day.
So join me in rembering all of those who have lost a sweet baby or babies to death or miscarriage.
Light a candle at 7pm or when you can along with others who are doing the same today.

I rember William every day and he is never far from my thoughts.
I love him and miss him but know we will be together again.

I wish some days I could just go back in time and hold him close to my breast again.
Smell his sweet smells and feel his sweet breath against my cheek.

I miss his weight in my arms I just miss him.

Bloggers with a heart!!!

Yesterday I received a package from Nadine from a witches cupboard swap that we were in over at my good friend Val's. It was a super fun swap and I was glad I joined.
Nadine sent many wonderful goodies.

And an adorable witches hat lantern.

One of my favorite things she sent was this pot holder.

But what I loved the most was nothing to do with the swap.
IT was Nadine thoughtfulness.
Nadine has read my blog for a while and knows about William.
When she read this post Watching a miracle where I talked about Williams heart defect,
she felt inspired to send me this glass heart.

When I first saw the heart and read her not I was overwhelmed with love and tears.
I held the glass heart in my hands and noticed that there was a flaw in it.
The flaw made me smile.
I thought of Williams flawed heart.
This is the neat part as I went to put the heart with Williams special things I felt promoted to
Tell a special friend of mine who is pregnant with a little boy with a flawed heart that I would come an be with her When he is born.
I had felt like this for a while but kept pushing off the promptings.
But wen I saw this heart I new what I needed to do.
So thank you Nadine for using your heart ..
And This My bloggy friends is why I love blogging.
Oh yea how could I forget.
The glass heart was not flawed after all what I thought was a flaw turned out to be a little babys breath flower.
Which has very special meaning to me..
Now how the heck did Nadine know that..

What ever you want to call it.

I dont know what the heck the thing is called but I made it.
I was tiered of burning my hand when I grabbed my stainless still pots so I made some pot handle coves I guess thats what they can be called.
They work great.
As I was a it I made new pot holders to match.
Now i just need to make a few more of these what ever you want to call them.

Yesterday it was s nice out .
I could hardly belive that it was October.

Spider Boy AKA Ben had fun hanging around enjoying the sunshine.

If we ha a few more weeks of this weather befor winter hits I will be a happy girl.

Bad mood..

I am in a moody mood right now I started a wonderful positive day but somebody who will remain name less called and made me feel mad.
I know that was not this culprits intention and I know i have the control to change my mood belive me I am trying to get back my happy go lucky mood.
So I guess i should just stop sulking and snap out of it.
So what do you all do when people make you mad and you try not to dwell on it?

Super hero cape made from a towel tutorial.

If you are a mom or have been around kids for any length of time you have probably tied a towel or blanket around a toddler or big kids neck a thousand times all because they want to be a super hero.
Well I solved the problem for me at least.
I just added ties to the dang towel it was fast and easy and it's the perfect super hero cape.
What I liked most about this anybody can do it no matter what your skill level is.
I also like the fact there is little sewing and no pattern
I promise any mom, Dad ,Grandparent, aunt uncle etc can make this.

Do you want to know how?
All you you need is a cheep bath towel
(For big kids I like towels with there favorite characters on them.
Like super man or strawberry shortcake you get the point.)
Ribbon
scissors thread
and a sewing machine.

If the cape is for a little one I advise cutting the towel in half

Then fold over the top about one inch
To make a casing.

Sew right on the edge of the seam.
making sure you leave both ends open.

Next take your ribbon cut it to the length you want it.
Attache a safety pen or a barrette to pull the ribbon threw
the casing.

When you are done pulling it threw the casing.

Adjust the to the size that will fit best around the child's neck.

Then sew the ribbon down so it wont slip threw the casing.

Then walla you are done.
Its easy peasy and takes about 10 minutes.
If you want you can ad ball fringe ribbon what ever to jazz it up.
I just added scraps of fabric and ball fringe.

Baby M thinks its great fun!!
As always if you have questions let me know.
