Spending the day with Benny.

Mr. Benny had the day off He had a friend come over in the morning to play and then we went for a walk.

I asked him how far he wanted to go and he said 6 miles I giggled and said ok thinking it would be 2 miles 3 tops.

On our walk we saw some cool mushrooms

Ben thought they needed to be photographed.

So I did 

Ben took Garrets one foot 3 wheeled skate board thingy.

 






                     

Ben liked to skate with it on his bum and belly he found out if he sat on it going down hills he could go super fast.

He scared me a few times when he was going super fast.

We continued our walk and saw a hole in the dirt Ben was not sure if it was a snakes hole or a rabbit hole.

He then asked me Mom how do snakes did holes?

I answered honestly I don't know Ben.

When we got home he made me Google  the answer.

snakes burrow but do not make holes them selves they still holes the other animals make and make nest in them.

So now we know snakes cant dig holes.

After finding out this information Ben was hungry and insisted that pancakes were the only solution to his hunger crises.

The next thing on our agenda was to look for Halloween ideas on pintrest.

As Benny said to me earlier its time to get into the spirit of Halloween.

Yep he is my kid he loves Halloween much as I do.

I love my Benny days he is getting so big and I know these days are going to be fewer and fewer until one day he is in middle school and high school and to busy for theses kinda days.

So I will take these days  while I can and enjoy them to the fullest.

                                   

Family time !

Today was a beautiful sunny day we decided since the kids and Dale were home that we would have fun together.

First we did a little cleaning and then we were off to lunch.

We went to one of our favorite pizza haunts Fargo's

It a fun old building it's stunning on the inside with beautiful chandlers

fun statues and art work.

My kids love the player piano.

I love the stain glassed there is so much of it and it's all stunning.

A perfect background for a kiss.

The pizza is not the best I ever had I always just eat the salad.

Ben wont eat pizza so he has Chicken noodle soup.

After lunch we went to see Madagascar 3

My family are a bunch of dorks but I love them anyways.

This next picture came out weird but looks so cool.

Much better.

All I can say about the movie is polka-dot Circus Afro Polka-dot Afro or how ever that silly song went.

I am so glad to have spent the day with my family I love days like these they seam to be fewer and fewer.

Life is so busy now that the kids are back in school. 

I hope to have more days like this life is fun as a Wilderness.

The Wilderness way!

We decided to go on a family hike this after noon we woke up made cleaned the house made a lunch and started our drive.

We decided to go to the garden of the Gods.

We started our first hike on a trail we had not taken before it was a walking and horse trail.

There was a lot of evedeince that horses had been on the trail just before we started.

Here we are on the start of our hike everyone smiling and making me happy.

Not it only took 12 takes to get this shot.

If my kids would have all been smiling the first time I would have missed out on this funny shot yes I have 10 more just like this.

I know you are all dying to know what type of shoes I was wearing no heels just my ugly lizard sandals that feel like I am walking on clouds.

So we started off and everyone was happy.

Maddie kept wanting me to take pictures of her.

Then Benny wanted me to take some pix.

Dale got up on the rocks and started chatting with Ben it was cute.

Ben is so funny he told Dale to act like he was throwing him off a cliff.

I love Ben's face.

You can see just how far up they are haa haa haa.

Mylissa was not feeling the greatest she was such a trooper.

I started to pose for this picture when I heard a thud and a scream.

Madie tripped and fell over tree root and got quite a skinned knee.

We left all the water in the car and had to go back to clean Maddies knee up.

After we cleaned Maddie up we went to the main attraction where all the big rocks are to use the bathroom.

We took some more pictures.

This by far was my favorite.

Why you might ask did I take this picture?

If you look really hard you will see the fighter jets flying over the rocks.

Since we were by the kissing camels I thought it would be fun to get a kissing shot.

well my prince chareming had nasty breath and he kept blowing it in my face just to make me laugh.

Dale kept continuing to be a goof and I wonder where my kids get it from.

We then walked back to the camel rock to eat lunch.

Then we started back down the road a different way from we normally do.

We stopped at an over over look and took these pix of pikes peek.

And this funny picture of Maddie.

As we were hiking we were walking we heard some people yell Hello Wilderness family.

It was my sweet friends the Swanson.

I should have taken a pic.

It was a really fun after noon.

Now its time for movie night.
