It's Friday!!

This has been a crazy long week for me the kids have only one to school once not including today, I have been sick and Blah Blah Blah.. So I am so grateful it is Friday a end to a crazy long week. I am also happy that it's Date Night!! I look forward every Friday to dating my hubby. We always go out and do something together even if it's picking things up at Walmart or walking around Target to see what new things have come in we are together every Friday with out kids. I know because we do this we have a strong marriage. When we first had kids we were only able to get out one or twice a month because we had to get a sitter but it was always worth the cost. Now we have built in baby sitters and it's so nice not to have to worry about that now it's just juggling everyone schedules.
So now that I have just rambled on and on about dating my hubby. My question is do you all make regular date nights? If you do what do you do?

SO JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We would LOVE a regular date night. And I totally agree...SOO IMPORTANT for a marriage. That alone time is soooo needed for the parents...and great for the kids to see that mom and dad take time out for themselves. With the four little ones still being so little, and babysitters so expensive here in L.A. we are lucky to get out once every couple of months.

Have a great night!

Oh, yes... date night every week. Shane is a movies guy and I am a nature girl, so we alternate who picks the date. We do a lot of dates that are completely free (mostly my picks, because I am all about FREE) like last week we just walked around the outdoor mall and then spent a couple dollars to buy hot chocolate. Other dates are bowling, rock climbing, driving (yes, we are that silly), walking (and that cheap), but our main rule is that we are together, and focused on one another. We are 12 years married, and goin' strong.

Tonight's date? We're pretty poor right now, so we are puttin' the kids to bed, watching the new Battlestar Galactica, and clipping coupons. Afterward we'll probably play a board game or something. I usually make us a special dessert for JUST US that the kids never know about on the nights that we stay home. Tonight will be Pistachio Chocolate Souffle. Ooo la la!!

We get out when we can, usually we go to dinner. At this point we count when all the kids are asleep and Tom is actually home.

I guess maybe the one good thing about infertility is we can do date night whenever we want.

We don't, wish we did, don't have a clue as to what really makes our marriage work so well except the randomness of it, I learned to roll with it yrs ago, and it works (for us)!!
Have fun!!

I think it's so important to have regular date nights!!! We have them often, but our schedules are never regular, so it's pretty random on the day. One week we'll have a wonderful Tuesday night and the next week we go out on Friday. It's always random, special and wonderful!!

I'm so jelous! We don't have regular date nights. It's so hard with Matt's schedule. I feel so much better when we do get out though! I can't wait for the day when I have built in sitters! =)

Nope, only a few times a year do we ever get out together without kids. While we were on vacation in Colorado, my mom watched the kids while we went fishing a few times.

My husband works weekends and I work all the time!! lol I can normally just get a sitter on the weekends and my husband works 16 hour shifts.

With Superman's crazy schedule and all the away training our date nights have really fallen by the wayside. When we do get out on our own we lean towards movies, but he got more thoughtful recently with the art museums. We really need to make it more of a priority. :]
