Red , White and Blue...

The colors of the New Rusty Pickle Bottle Rocket papers. When I saw these papers I new I need them. I just love the fourth of July , I love fire works and the parades , 4th of July picnics and best of all dressing up in red, white and blue.

It is tradition at our house to get a new T shirt for the 4th of July . We always wear them what ever we are doing. When we lived in Ca our favorite thing to do was to drive up to San Francisco and play on peir49 all day and then drive over to Treasure Island and watch the firer works that were being set off in the bay from ships. It was always super cool. We miss that so much.

Now here in Alaska we go up to Hatches pass have a picnic and hike. We don't have fire works cuz it never gets dark. We still have fun and we are in our cute T shirts as a family. Thats the most important part being together.

So what are your 4th of July traditions.

I should be sleeping, but I'll play. Every year growing up, the 4th of July breakfast was hosted at my house (the ward hosted it, not my parents) and we always had everyone in the neighborhood come. There was a flag raising ceremony with taps and a speaker and then breakfast. Krustez pancakes and bacon and sausage, hashbrowns and scrambled eggs, juice and milk. YUM!!! It has since moved to someone else's yard, but I still dream of that, it was such a great way for me to learn to love our country. I don't know what we'll do this year, probably pack a box or two!

I love the 4th of July! I love our country and our freedom! We didn't really have any traditions, but we would like to start some up. I like the shirt idea, and we want to go up to evanston wyoming to do fireworks. We had such a blast last year, we want to do it every year! There is just nothing like fireworks in Evanston! Fireworks everywhere, and not just dinky ones, huge ones! You can't even tell which fireworks are the cities firework display. I love your layouts, cute!

I usually work on July 4th because I'm Canadian. ;)

Our kiddos love the fireworks on 4th of July. We became U.S. citizens in 2002 so I always get pretty emotional on July 4th because I truly appreciate how lucky we are to be able to live here. Great post!
