Police car, Fire paramedic first response truck, big fire truck and an ambulance, and one distraught wife Oh My.

Yesterday at 4:15 Dale really started to feel sick so I told him I was going to take him to the DR. On base 45 mins away. As we were driving out of town I asked if he wanted to go to the Vally hospital? He said no take him to the base, I continued out of town. Just 10 minutes out of town Dale started to crash fast he was hyperventilating he had severe chest pain and could barely talk. He called 911 and told them to send some one so I pulled over and he started to get worse. I had to explain to dispatch where we were and wait for help to arrive. I was surprised at how calm I was. first a police car arrived then the fire paramedic first response crew, then the big fire truck, then the ambulance. It was all a blur of questions, action wondering where to go. I kept telling them that I thought it was anxiety and not cardiac like they were thinking. They rushed him off and I was left to try and find out where I was going. I called Kadie to meet me there she freaked out and was scared. After driving faster than I ever have before I got to the emergency room. I waited and waited and waited until they finally let me go back. They told be he was looking ok and that he was sleeping and  was having minor breathing issues caused by the meds they put him on, they were waiting for test results to come back and then if all looked good we could go home.  The results came back low potassium and his electrolytes were out of whack . No cardiac issue. Thank heavens! As we were driving home I told him he was a total diva and he better never scare me like that again.

Yup, been there. That is pretty much what happened to me, your body just takes over and freaks out. Glad that he is o.k.

Good heavens...I know you had to be terrified, but isn't amazing how such a calm can come over a person in such an awful situation. Glad Dale is OK.

That's pretty scary. Glad everything turned out ok. This month is our 2 year anniversary of Steve's massive heart attack so I would have been very scared.
