Broken hands and Aprons

So as I promised here are a few pix of Robbie and his broken hand. Who would have ever guessed Tapping or smashing ones Knuckles together would brake ones hand. I get a call from the school nurse telling me that Robbie had ben hurt playing Knuckle tough. I guess its a new way to great your friends. I have only seen it done on TV. I had to have her explain it to me because I thought she meant they were playing bloody knuckles. Anyways His hand was broken. I do have to say this is the coolest cast I have ever seen. They has talent that put it on.

I finished My Mother in laws apron for mothers day. Its the first time i have used binding. I liked how it turned out, I just wished the binding would have been wider. I think I will try and make binding the next time I make this apron. I also lined it The instructions just had you hem it but I like lined aprons I just make the apron more sturdy plus it looks better.

Love the pink lining. Now you can tell me how to do binding. I don't know how and I think my apron pattern calls for it...when I ever get around to it.

Jen,

We will have to watch Dale and Gabe so they don't bash their casts together and cause further damage! hehe Who would have thought they would both have a break at the same time?

That is a pretty neat cast. They sure got creative. I finally have a pic of me in the apron my sister gave me for my birthday, if my day isn't too hectic I will post it later.

That is a cool looking cast. I have never heard of Knuckle Tough before. Glad he's otherwise ok. Beautiful apron! I'm sure your MIL will love it. :)

Jen, I love your aprons you make. Where do you find your patterns? They look like fun to make. I have one I make for little girls that has a towel for the skirt so Kali can wipe her hands off on it. It's cute but I want to make some for me and family.

ps are they hard? I'm not very good at sewing!

I LOVE the Apron. It is too cute. I have to say the cast is the coolest one I have seen yet. Andrew is getting the same type (with the free finger) cast in the glow in the dark tomorrow.

Jen,

Great apron, you are so talented, I wish I could sew like that!

Poor little guy!!

Love your aprons, Jenn!! I would always make my own binding when I would sew. That way you can coordinate or contrast the binding. I am sure your mother-in-law will appreciate it!
