Not home 72 hours and already in trouble..

My son comes into the house and said you might want to come see this mom..
I thought gee what did the kid do now?
instead I see this..
Yep thats roght my husband pulled over by the Palmer police.
I looked at the neighbors who were in fits of giggles and said he better be talking his way out of a ticket.
After the officer left he drove into the drive way grinning.
I said you are so grounded..
He said what all he wanted to do was look at the car..
I said liar.. He said no really he just wanted to check out the car..
He then told me the truth..
He peeled out in front of the cop.
He did not realize it until he was headed back home and ready to turn into the drive way.
evidently thats when the cop finally turned on his lights.
I so how did you talk your self out of a ticket.
He grinned and said . I used a few trump cards.
A. His trooper ID.
B. he explained that it was the first time he got to drive his car since coming
home from a war zone..
Id say he was a pretty lucky duck..

omgosh, I am HOWLING! We always watch "Speeders" on TruTV. They ALWAYS have a camera rolling as people try to talk their way out of a ticket.
Will we see Dale on the show soon? I hope so!

ok, I have to comment again. I just think this is so funny! How many women do you know would take photos
of their hubs with the cops? Only those of us who BLOG! That is simply PRICELESS!
And BTW, that car ROCKS!

I stumbled upon your blog when I was searching for a crayon apron to make my daughter for her 3rd birthday. Then I saw the link to your son, William's site. I just wanted to let you know that I prayed for your family and that I am deeply sorry for your loss. My son was born unable to breathe, being born almost 6 weeks early and spent 2 weeks in the NICU. They didn't have a very good prognosis, but he pulled through and is perfectly healthy now. Reading your story makes me all the more thankful. I couldn't get through even the first sentence of your statement on William's page without sobbing. My heart goes out to you and your family.
(I couldn't get your e-mail link to work.)

I'm laughing that you took pictures! I have only had to talk myself out of my one and only ticket. I was late for a job interview and I gave him my husbands card. He is a police officer......he let me go.
