A bowl full of cookies for breakfast..

Ben went to Bed with out desert the other night because he wouldn't eat diner.
When I was in the shower the next morning Ben decided to poor him self a bowl of cookies and a glass of milk for breakfast.
I get out of the shower to hear Madeline saying Ben there is no way moms going to let you have a bowl full of cookies for breakfast.
He with all the confidence in the world said yes she will.
When I walked int the dining room he smiled and said good morning mom I love you!
I said I love you two Ben.
Madeline with her hands on her hips said aren't you going to say something about Ben's bowl of cookies.
I really wanted to let him eat them because i thought it was cute that he thought he could have bowl of cookies for breakfast.
I really couldn't see the harm in it.
So to satisfy Madeline and keep order in our home.
I said Ben you know you cant eat those cookies for breakfast.
He gave Madeline a dirty look and said your mean.
Then stomped in his room.
Sometimes it stinks to be the adult.
I think if Madeline wasn't there I probably would have just let him eat the bowl of cookies.
Really what harm would have Ben done?
He would have thought I was the best mommy in the world!

I just had to tell you, my friend is pregnant with twins (thanks to invtro) and she just found out her little boy has Trisomy 18. Our hearts are broken, but you were the first person I thought of. I referred her to your blog because I think you are such an inspiration. I hope she will come by and read your story and maybe even chat with you if she needs some support. I hope you don't mind. :) Thanks and I love the cookies for breakfast!!

I had a friend (Dari) just refer me to your blog because our little boy was just diagnosed with trisomy 18. I am 21 weeks along with twins. Our little girl, thank goodness, is still healthy. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm sure I will have lots of questions for you and I hope you don't mind me asking them. I'm just grateful I found you.

I've been around for quite a lot of time, but finally decided to show my appreciation of your work!

Thumbs up, and keep it going!
