First you make the brownies according to directions.
Then let them cool.
After they are cooled mash them up and add a cup of frosting any kind.
Mix it up real good.

Then from into little balls.

Put sticks into the brownie balls and place on a cookie sheet.
When all the sticks are in the balls freeze for an hour.

After the brownies are nice and firm
melt Chocolate according to direction .
coat  the brownie bites with the chocolate

Then roll them in sprinkles.
Let them dry for 15 minutes .

and then have at them..

Ben sure liked them..

Story book mountains , dorky pix and brownie balls..

I take this drive every day to get Ben from school..
I love the peace that the scenery gives me.
I wonder just how many more fall days we get until the snow comes..
How the heck do you take a self portrait of your head.
I was trying to get a pic of this super cute head band but every pic turned out silly.
And all  look like is a big dork.
Anyhoo this head band is killer cute.
I am not a headband wearer but with all the fun one in style right now I may just have to give it a whirl.
Now I am off to bake some brownie pops.
And make some bath towel aprons.
I will tell you how they both turn out later.

Loving all the fall colors..

As I was driving along the road on my way to target I couldn't help but feel happy!
Alaska is so beautiful in the fall..
Right now the mountains look like something out of a story book.
(I will take pix later today to show you.)
I am just loveing it!!
The reason I went to target was to pick up some fun things for a witches cupboard swap that I am in
hosted by my friend Val .
I have been racking my brains for what a good witch would have in her cupboard.
Well I found some bones and eyeballs at the local witches Target that I think every witch should have on hand for all her spells.
And what is a witch with out her spells?
Now I just have to finish of the rest and send it off.
I forgot how much fun I have playing with paper.
I guess I Should do some more playing this afternoon along with some sewing.

Growing up!!

Madeline has been begging me to cut her hair short. I always tell her no not yet.
The other day she approached me again and begged me to please cut he hair.
So I agreed I would cut it just a little bit.
The little bit was a little shorter than I intended but it turned out so cute..
You can tell from this picture just how long it was.
I was a little sad to see it shorter but she was trilled when she looked in the mirror.
She looked at me with a big grin and said now I look so much older.
I just know all my friends are going to say Madeline your hair looks so cute.
She is such a diva!
She is right she looks so much older with shorter hair.
It makes me sad that my baby girl is getting so big..

Making Carmel apples

One thing that I love about fall is the excuse to make Carmel apples.
We love Carmel apples at our house.
Since the big girls were away haveing fun the little ones thought they should have fun too
So I broke out the Carmel and apples and let them go to town.
They had a ton of fun !
A little tip we saw at the fair is to put sugar on the waxed paper so the Carmel doesn't stick
It worked like a charm..
Better than butter or pam and much taster.
Next time I will have to show you some of yummy things we like to add to the carmel apples.

Perspective..

Yesterday I was at my wits end with theses three.
All of them chose to misbehave in school yesterday to the degree that each of there teachers called and talked with me.
I was a little floored because for the most part they are really good boys.
As I drove to get Garret from cross country practice a feeling came upon me that I should enjoy it all when they are good and when they are not so good.
I was reminded that today I have the opportunity to take each boy one on one and talk to them individually and remind them that I love them and that they are good boys and that I know they will choose better paths tomorrow.
I was also reminded that I get to go thru these experiences with them.
I get to watch them grow in to young men.
I get to see them develop there different personalities.
I get to hold them when they are sad
and teach them when they are being naughty.
A joy that I dont have with our 4Th boy William.
I often wonder what kind of little boy he would be.
What he would look like.
I wonder if he would have been as naughty as the other three boys yesterday.
All these questions I will have to wait to have the answer to until we are reunited again.
So until then I will enjoy the three sometimes naughty boys that I have.
I hope you all are haveing a wonderful Friday!
Remember to hold your loved ones close and rember the ones that were lost 8years a go today>
I rember 9/11/2001.

Sewing The New Extreme sport!

Ok I am just a little embarrassed!
Last night as I was sewing a very cute almost done apron, I got my thumb caught between the presser foot and the needle so a double whammy.
I sewed it with the needle and as the nob where the needle was speedily going up and down
It hit my dumb a few times causing it to have a blood blister and swell up pretty bad.
So i called it quits for the night.
I was a little bummed out because I was almost done.
All I need to do is add the waistband and  ties.
I hope to finish it today
Here is a little peek.
But first I am going to take my self to lunch and do a little shopping.
I unexpectedly have no baby M today.
Her mommy is sick and stayed home.
So I have a kid free day until 2pm.. Wahoo.
My first one since school started.
So I am going to enjoy my alone time..
I love alone time.
I hope you all are haveing a great day!!

The perfect apron!

I found this book the other day at the fabric store.
I opened it up and loved the aprons I saw in side.
I sat there and debated if I wanted to but another apron book that I would have to get the patterns re-sized and pay 8 dollars a pattern.
So I investigated further and was suprised that there were full sized patterns in the back.
All I would have to do is trace them on to pattern paper or wrapping paper as I like to use.
I was sold.
with my 40% off coupon the book only cost $11. well worth the 23 patterns.
I plan on makeing this sweet apron today.
So what projects are you all working on?

Hidden lake ..

Yesterday we went up to Hatcher Pass to hike what we like to call Hidden Lake.
The drive up was just splendid !
I love watching the swift running river.
Here are my kids in the hiking finest getting ready for the treacherous
death defying hike.
Up Gold Cord lake trail?
wait a minute where did that singh come from.
It was never there befor.
Were will still call it hidden lake a much better name..
Here we all go fallowing the trail.
Half way up we took a little break.
Here was an old shack left over from the gold mining days.
We got back on the trail and this is where I started to get
sick!
Why did I get sick ?
Because I looked down.
you cant tell but it's a long ways down and I was on a narrow ledge.
Now I am not afraid of heights but for some reason I had a panic attack.
Maybe because I started to get vertigo and every thing was spinning.
After several hikers encouraged me that I was almost there I forged ahead to see the splendid beauty that awaited me at the top.
It always takes my breath away when I see the beauty that Heavenly Father created for us.
Who would have ever guessed that this treasure would be awaiting us at the top of the mountain.
My kids absolutely love playing in the frigid crystal blue water.
So we tried to get pix on the rocks like we have done in previous years but There was never a perfect shot.
In my eyes so I wasent going to share them because I thought we all looked like goofs and I look eight month pregnant setting in that weird position .
Thank goodness I remembered why I blog.
Not for others to judge me or my family but for a keepsake for our family.
So here we are in all our glory.
This is probably the best shot of the whole outing.
Shelly and Missy talking about the mysteries of life.
To me it is a priceless shot.
After a while we cleaned up and started down the mountain.
Let me just say it is so much quicker going down the mountain than climbing up the mountain.
We were almost at the end of the trail when I spotted a fox.
At first I thought it was a dog and then I realized what it was.
If you look to your left by the rock you can see him better.
(if you clique on the pic it will be bigger)
It was the perfect ending to a perfect hike.
Maybe we will go check out the Falls next weekend!
