Being a girl takes a lot of hard work....

I was going to title the post that being a Glamour girl is hard work but lets face it being a girl his a lot of work .. For those of you who know me know what a girly girl I can be. I am according to my little sister high maintenance(but not as high matinece my older sister) LOL.. Well with that said I was cleaning out my closet witch was a whole day plus job. The funny thing is it's not like it's been years since I have done it because I purge my closet 4 times a year. Back to the point as I was cleaning it I was looking at Dales side. He has the basic boy stuff work cloths, Sunday clothes work out clothes, working on the car clothes and casual clothes and about a half a dozen shoes. Then you have my clothes i did not know a girl needs so many categories of clothes. There is every day clothes jean cute tops,( No not 6 or so pairs that the guys have or 6 cute shirts ) 15+ pairs of jeans you have light wash dark wash ,skinny ,trouser , tailored, jeans for that time of the month(don't laugh you know we all have them) then the tops you have cute T's then your knits , button ups , cammies with and with out lace, Tunics, swing tops and on and on. then your work out clothes of course they have to be cute or why the heck would you want to work out. We then have to have our date night clothes cute sequenced tops, fun silk blouses, slacks sexy skirts that you wouldn't wear to church and so forth, Oh I haven't even touched the blazers and different types of jackets we need, then there are summer spring winter and fall clothes. Being here in Alaska you have to have about 30 sweater's not just cute cardigans you have to have turtlenecks , form fitting, cable knit and so forth, Then there's Sunday clothes skirts, long short knee length, wool, A line, pencil, and on and on then your dresses and blouses and tights Blahh Blahh Blahh. Oh I could go on and on and on. but I wont. It just amazes me at how much clothes we need and shoes I wont even go there. The funny part is with all these clothes I have I am always whining that I have nothing to wear. Oh the joys of being a girl.

So we have all the work with just keeping our closets clean what about keeping our beauty products straight and our jewelry. I guess I will save that for another post.

Oh the joys of being a girl. No really with all the work it takes I wouldn't trade it for any thing.

So my big question is are you a high maintenance girl or a easy going ...

I share a regular sized closet with Brigs and Tru (and their toys). Does that make me fashionably low-main.?

TLD I thought of you when I wrote this post. Knowing that J has way more clothes than you... But the thing is you always look good. You are just way smarter than I am you figured out how to cut out the middle man and just wear black Grey and Kaki and still look marvelous...

oh boy, I am so low maintenance that I only have 5 shirts and 2 pair of pants, and 3 skirts. No wonder I feel frumpy! I didn't plan on this happening, I always imagined myself as a stylish, classy gal. Shawn, on the other hand, has a closet that's overflowing!!!

Jen...you are hilarious!
I would have to say that I am pretty easy going...I wish my closet was full of clothes but it seems like my daughter has more than I could ever imagine. I usually find one really cute thing and then nothing for a long time! Maybe I am just way to picky with my clothes....someday when I grow up maybe I will grow out of it!!! Lol!!

I'd like to be closer to the high end, but my budget does not allow. But my fantastic husband did buy me a coach bag for our anniversary, it's the most expensive thing I own! How'd your sister weather the storm?

Easy going. I'm happiest in a t-shirt & jeans. :)

:::Ahem::: Contrary to the opinion of my loving younger sisters, I am a very low maintenance girl these days. I own three pair of jeans and a pair of capris at the moment. I have about a half a dozen button down shirts with tanks to go under them and 5-6 polo type shirts. Other than that all I have is workout clothes! I have two pair of crocs, two pair of tennis shoes, a pair of flip flops and two pair of cowboy boots.
(I do have a whole closet full of work clothes, but they are all two sizes too small and from the days of yore when I worked. Prior high maintenance doesn't count LOL.)

Before kids, super HIGH maint. (Hey,I sang for a living and NEEDED to be a diva.)
After kids, totally low maint. I have 3 pairs of jeans. Some v neck t shirts, some workout clothes and shorts. I still have my nice stuff too because I never change size. But I rarely wear it.

Ah, you thought of me when you were posting? That is the greatest compliment ever! Yes, I am partial to clothing hued in the communist Russia color spectrum. "Blending in" suits me to a "T" (or tee). Can't wait to see all the treasures you bring home from your trip outside. You'll have to give us a fashion show! {Yes, John is well dressed, isn't he?}

I am so totally low maintenance. I wear jeans/shorts and t-shirts (short or long sleeve) or Sunday clothes. I have expanded to inlcude some date night tops, but I am otherwise easy. My makeup fits in one small makeup bag. My hair products total 3 or 4. I have less than a dozen pairs of shoes and I feel like I have too many. :) I have 3 pairs of jeans and I rewear them if they're not covered in grossness. I will workout in anything, but I do have one designated workout outfit that I also rewear because, lets face it, it's my own sweat. (I wonder how many people will gag reading this comment. :]

Yeah, I'm definitely low maintenance.

I am easy going. If we go on a date I take a little more time so I can look good for Tom. I don't have that many clothes, that is for sure. Especailly right now, I am trying to make these maternity clothes last until ELyse is born so that I don't have to buy anymore and can get rid of these.
