My kids, Dale and I have new names!

Every year we try to come up with new ways to put names on the packages wit out the kids knowing who they belong to.
We have used many different methods including different wrapping papers for each person, numbers, different colored ribbons and on and on.
When I was at a Christmas party earlier this month we were discussing this very topic and one of my friends said she used the names of the reindeers but for got who was who.
I liked that Idea so I learned from her mistake and made a master list  of who is who.
(lets just hope I don't loose it)

Now wrapped in gold under our tree we have packages for
You know Dasher and Dancer
and Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid
and Donner and Blitzen
But do you recall
The most famous reindeer of all?
Rudolf the red nosed reindeer.

So far the kids are clueless.
We were pretty lucky that there are 9 reindeer the same amount of people in our family.

So do you all have any thing fun you do with your presents or any other fun tradition?

We unwrap presents. I make the kids get in their Christmas Eve outfits for photos. We have pancakes(no matter what the day) We invite the little elderly lady fro across the street, but she never comes over to our house. I take dinner to her at the last minute. We have a very traditional Italian Christmas Dinner.

My aunt has a new category for her kids names every year. I know she's done countries and animals...I can't remember teh other ones.

What a fun idea! I'll have to remember that when Dylan gets older. :)

What a great idea! My son is too young now to care, but I'll have to remember this for down the road when we have more kids and they're old enough to read.

We don't write the names of who they are from on the packages. Sometimes they guess. Sometimes we just tell them. For our Christmas Eve gift, we just write that they are from EVE.

fun idea...we don't do anything like that. Here is one thing we do that the kids love:

We've attended a Christmas musical or play each year since 2000. Afterwards, we go to a nice restaurant, that is our big 'treat' for the season.
