Boutique style picture frame tutorial

.
With a little bit of glue scrap book paper and odds and ends this wooden dollar frame turned out beautiful.
It took no time at all to make and I had every thing on hand.
Here is what you need.
white glue
a wooden frame
paint
Scrap book paper
bits of lace ribbon
a flower
really any thing you want to embellish it with.
First trace around the frame on the back side of the scrap book paper.
Then cut the tracing out.

Next lightly paint the frame.
It should dry in few minuets.

While the paint is drying mix up about a 1/4 of a cup of glue and 3 tbs of water

Now add the glue mixture to the frame.

Place the paper you cut out earlier onto the frame then smooth it out with something heavy.
Next lightly spread some more of the glue mixture on top of the paper.
let it dry about a half an hour.

Here where the fun comes in , I like to distress my frame with sand paper rubbing off some of the paper and making little tears to make it look old.
Then I rub on a little paint and water mixture.

I then added some lace and trim

And the finishing touch a boutique style flower
You can find the tutorial HERE. for the flower.
Now you have a fabulous frame to keep or give away.
{BTW the beautifull girl in the pictuer is my DD Shelly..}
