The red door.

After 4 years of leaving with or weathered ,dog scratched door we decided to paint it, we did not think the potential buyers would like the beat up and scared door.

I have to say I love how it turned out!
I actually was a little nervous about red I kinda wanted to go with black.
I think I was nervous because red is not a neutral color I love it but not every one has bold tastes like me.
I was assured by our realtor that a red door was a good choice so I did it.
This is how it used to look.
then I primed it white.
I then painted 4 coats of the red paint.

It cost about $ 20 dollars to paint the door but to me the end results is worth a million.
After painting the door for the first time I was sad about moving.
Now I just have to finish painting the deck., but not today, it's raining.

There are lots of red doors in our community...red = good luck. Beautifully done.

Fixing up all the things that need fixing before selling is so hard. Why move after everything is perfect, right?

You can paint your new Colorado door a brilliant lipstick red!

whenever we buy a house, I repaint the shutters and doors....it makes it mine on the outside! I bet you do that to your NEW house too! It looks great!

Love red doors! I am on the second coat of red for my front door. Now if only the sun would cooperate I could get mine done and looking as awesome as yours!

Red's my favorite color. The 4 years we have been here I've tossed around whether I want a red door. Our neighbors across the street in our circle just got a red door. I like my metal door because I leave notes on it for Mikele with magnets.

Red is my favorite color for a door. In Feb it looks great for valentine's day. In spring it makes tulips, and daffodils pop. Nothing says 4Th of July like a red door. The fall colors and pumpkins look great with a red door, and a Christmas wreath just screams for a red door. It really is the color for all seasons and holidays. Yours looks absolutely lovely.
