To be grateful # 30

Today I am grateful that my sister is in labor!!

Yes I am going to be an Auntie again.

I am so excited!! This do not happen very often in my family.

This is my parents 12th grand child I having 8 of them..

So I hope Baby boy gets here quickly and safely.

I am also glad that the wind is dying down.

It's beginning to look like Christmas in the Wilderness house..

Father Christmas has shown up.

The halls are being decked.

And jars are being filled.

The air smells like cookie dough and cinnamon and Christmas's music is being played.

I love Christmas time.

Day 27 I am grateful for yet another amazing Alaskan sunrise..

Day 28 I was grateful for to go to church and for the nice long nap I got.

Day  29 I am grateful to have met a bloggy friend in person.

We had so much fun and she brought me a beautiful apron she made.

Ok I missed yesterday's to be grateful ,

I was just having to much fun!.

Yesterday I was grateful that my whole family was together.

I was also grateful that my first attempt at a real pie turned out, I made the best pecan pie ever.

I was grateful to wake up to new snow and that it snowed all day long.

I was grateful to live here in America..

I am grateful for all those fighting for or freedoms.

Today I am grateful that for the first time in years I did not do the black Friday rush. Ok I lied I went to Walmart at 12am but I did not get up at 2 am and spend hundreds of dollars like I normally do.

I am grateful for my silly Children , They really make me laugh.

I am grateful for my children who were brave enough to take snow pictures with me yesterday.

Today I am grateful for my wonderful daughter Kadie and my sweet son inlaw Dan.

Today I am grateful for Garrett.

12 years a go today I gave birth to a sweet 6lb 19" long little boy.

I can't believe my little baby is now 5'10" and 145 giant..

He is such a good little big boy and we love him so much, he makes us laugh and smile every day.

I am also grateful for my kidos who are so excited for Garrett's birthday, they are working hard on decorating the house for him.

I am grateful for our good friend who came a got Garrte to check the traps they set (Yuck I know) he loves it.

To day I am grateful for Thanksgiving tomorrow.

I am grateful that because of weather they have the whole week off.

My crazy morning.

Today I am grateful that my family is home because of extreme weather.

My first phone call was from Dale at 6;50 am don't go any where today to roads are pure ice.

second phone call from the school district 6:58we are still have school but buses are running late.

Third phone 7:21 school is still in session but you might want to keep kids home.

4th phone call 7:23 from Garrett "I am at a friends house bus never came " I said "why are you at your friend's house and not at home" ummm umm Get home Garrett.

5th phone call  7: 29 Robbie "we are walking all the girls home so they wont slip". How sweet of you " come right home afterwards."

6th phone call from school didtric  elementary schools in core buzz message was cut off.

7th  call  8:09 message All elementary schools are closed roads are not safe. {hmm you figuered this out}

8th phone call  8:10 from friend calling to make sure my kids did not go to school because a bus was over turned. { maybe because the roads werent safe} Praying nobody got hurt.

7th phone call  8:12 from husband I am still in traffic he had been on the road 2 hours for a 45 min drive.

Checked email  at 8:15 one from school saying Mylissa was not in class my only child to go to school because she was dropped of for early seminary at 6am.

I call  her school at 8:16 making sure Mylissa was there and that she needed to ride the bus home I repeated tell her not to ride home with any of her teenage friends.

They called her class room and verified she was there, apparently they had a lot of these phone calls today.

1 teenage girl is missing I am praying she skipped school and is at a friends house.

9:30 am Dale shows up at home after finally making it to Anchorage after almost 3 hours on the road to find out the base was on code black no one on the bas  no one one off the base. {Why could the not have figured this out 2 hours prior when he called to say he was going to me late}

9:40 we are all cleaning the house

Today barely today that is, I am grateful for my faith.

I am grateful for the knowledge that we have a loving Heavenly Father.

I am grateful for the love of my family .

I am grateful that Dan and Kadie spent the evening with us.

I am also grateful for the beautiful moonlight tonight.

Faux furring it!

My amazing friend Tracy had extra faux fur after making her boys Halloween costumes and thought It would be nice if I made Madeline a wrap with it for christmas.

I thought it was the perfect idea

I think it turned out pretty dang cute.

It's totally Maddy and I know she will love it especially since I am making one for her AG doll.

I am also going to make a matching muff and ear warmers.

Today I am grateful for airborne and emergency I have been fighting off being sick all week.

These two thingys are helping me from getting a full blown cold..

I really hate being sick.

I all most missed today's To be grateful.

Easy peasy I am so grateful today that it is my sisters Birthday!

I love her so much and wish I was there in person to give her birthday loving..

This was us last year  in Denver.

Her best friend flew her out to see wicked and I just happen to be there for the birth of my friends son.

I know Heavenly Father had his hand in placing us in the same city at the same time.

The neat part is that neither of us put it together that we would be there at the same time until I was there.

It had been 4 years since I had seen her last because she had been living in Germany.

It was so much fun being with her.

Next year I plan on seeing her a lot more once I move to CO..

 I made this fantastic apron yesterday I love it!!

It is cute and flirty and scrams lets make some Christmas cookies.

Bummer that it's for my swap sister.

I really want to keep it!!

I guess I will just have to make one too.

By the way the pix aren't that grate because the wind is insane..

It's like 8 degrees out and the wind is blowing abouts 50 miles and hour.

It's been a long day but I did not want to miss a day of being grateful.

Today I am grateful for being me I know this sounds shallow but I have a pretty darn good life!!

I keep hearing of the hardships of others and I just feel so blessed for my life.

I really have lived a charmed life with an amazing husband by my side I have 7 beautiful healthy children and one perfect angel watching out for us.

What more could a girl ask for.

Today i am grateful for all the sweet primary kids at church.

I loved watching them sing and talk about what they have been learning all year.

I know that our Father in Heaven was proud of them too.

I am grateful that my dear sweet husband got up early with me to make 75 rice krispy treats for the primary children.

I am grateful for, my neighbor for shutting our garage door that would have been left open for 3 hours while we were at church.

I am grateful for my children that did sneak any of the rice krispy treats.

Today I am grateful for the new fallen snow.

I am grateful for the time I get to spend at the temple.

I am grateful for the knowledge that families are forever.

I am grateful for the sweet couple I met last night that had been married for 63 years, they were still so in love you. I pray and hope that Dale and I will be married that long and as happy as they are..

A play date with Miss M!

You may here me mention Miss M from time to time.

Miss M is the little girl I get the pleasure to watch 4 days a week.

Miss M's mommy is one of the most amazing since teachers I know.

Miss M's Mommy had a baby 5 weeks ago MR. J.

So I haven't had Miss M in a while.

So I took her out on a date today.

I love this little girl so much she was a big part of healing my broken heart.

I had a a hard time being around babies after Williams death.

I hated feeling like this I did not know what to do about it so I prayed that this would change.

2 and a half years ago Miss M needed a babysitter My girl friend was watching her at the time.

So i said go ahead and give her mom my name I new it would only be for 2 months until school was out.

Well in those two months Miss M captured my hart and I fell in love.

I am so grateful for this little girl and i have the best time with her.

I have know doubt that heavenly Father had his hand in this arrangement and I thank him every day for his wisdom and love for me.

Today I am grateful for prayers of comfort.

Last night was a bad night I kept having panic attacks all night.

It was to the point I was having trouble taking a decent breath..

I finally got control enough to say a simple prayer asking for comfort.

Quickly calm came over me and I was able to sleep.

Today I am grateful for all the vets in my life .

My handsome husband who has served the last 20 years of his life for this country.

He has seen the true evils of war and things I would never wish on my worse enemy.

My biggest fear when he left for a Mash unit in Blahed 5 years ago was not that he would die but that he would change because of what he saw.

He did change mostly for the good but there is things he saw that he will never share with me and that makes me sad that he he cant share every thing with me.

Maybe one day I will be brave enough to read his war journal and understand better.

I am so grateful for him and honored to be his wife.

Both my Grandfathers Carl Cole and Charles Peterson served in world war 2 in the Navy.

I loved hearing there war stories when I was little.

I am grateful for Dales Grandfather the funniest man I have ever known for his service in the Army.

My Father in law who served in Vietnam, My Dad who served in the air force for 20 years

Last but not least my brother in law Dan the invisible man.

I call him this because he has been Married to my sister for 8 years and I have never met him.

The reason I have never met him is because when ever we have had a chance to meet he has been called off to war.

I don't know how many tours he has been on but I know it's more than 10.

He is there right now.

A few years a go he was wounded and was given the purple heart.

He is an amazing man and I am proud he is my brother in law.

As my husband beautifully put it Sunday it is our obligation to thank those who serve our county today.

With out these veteran's we could not be enjoying the freedoms of this country we live in.

Today I am grateful for the beautiful view from my front window.

I am also grateful for my sweet Madeline who got everything ready this morning for her and Ben so I could sleep in.

She new I wasn't feeling well.

I am grateful for the chance to rest and get better today.

Today I am grateful for hot cocoa and time.

After no summer and a long fall winter is definitely here.

It is so cold in the mornings so every morning I make a cup up hot cocoa.

I love hot cocoa I love adding different shots of flavor to it(just like Starbucks).

My favorite is raspberry 2nd is french vanilla.

Lets talk about time .

For the first time in 20 years from the hours of 8:30 until 2:30 I am copleatly kid free.

I do have to say I am loving my alone time.

It was very strange at first but know I am loving it.

I will have all this free time until spring break is over then I get my sweet girl miss M back she is on maternity leave with momma.

sweater redo..

A few months a go someone in my house hold spilt bleach on a cute top I had only worn 3 times.

I was bumed and did not have the heart to throw it out.

So I held on to it deciding what I should do with it.

I thought maybe I would make a headband out of the flowers.

I just wasn't sure until I saw this sweater of mine.

I love this sweater it super cute and comfy, but a little plain.

So I decided the flowers on the ruined shirt would look fabulous on the sweater.

So I sniped it off and sewed it on.

I love it and think it is so super cute.

To day I am grateful for getting to go volunteer in Ben's class.

He is so excited that I am going to start coming in weekly and so am I .

I am grateful that me are having the missionaries over for diner.

I am grateful for my church family.

I am grateful for the seat warmers in my car.

Today I am grateful for My husband..

There is not much more to say than he is the best husband in the world.

He loves me so much and I know it by the everyday things he does.

He loves our children and is such a great father to them.

He buys me shoes and lets me be the who I am with out judgment.

I am thankful for the extra hour this morning from fall back.

I am grateful for the time we spent together as a family yesterday.

I am grateful for being me.
