I want a do over & thanks for making me laugh.

This day has been crazy, first Kadie tells me she is moving out on Saturday.

Then I run to the store to get milk and elmer's glue for a fun project, on the way home my car just turns off.

I was half way through the intersection, lucky the car restarted so I could get through only to shut off again.

I thought maybe I ran out of gas so I had Shelly across the street to the gas station to get a gas can and gas.

She comes back and something was wrong with the gas can it wouldn't let the gas through.

Finally our wonderful men in Blue (the Palmer PD) came to help.

One officer came to my window to ask what was wrong ,I explained what was going on.

He said he had to be in court in 30 mins so he called back up but would stay until he arrived ,so that nobody would hit my car.

The new officer listened to my story never laughing once when I told him I thought I might have run out of gas.

He figured out the gas can filled my tank and still nothing my car would not start.

I told him I would call road side assistance and get a tow.

He said I think it is the battery can you call some one for a jump.

I told him my daughter was on her way.

He said OK I will just wait until she gets her. I told him it might be a while he said that's OK I just want to make sure you are safe.

About ten minutes later I saw one of my dearest friends coming towards her, I motioned for her to come over.

She did and the officer went across the street to tell her I needed a jump.

She did not have any cables, I could have cried.

Well the officer called another officer to bring jumper cables.

The officers put my the jumper cables on. 

Then my car started I got to the gas station filled my truck and went home.

We still aren't sure if it was because i ran out of gas or if there is something wrong with the battery.

All I can say is that I am grateful for Palmer PD and that Tiffany listened to the spirit when I silently prayed that she would drive by.

I wish I could say that was all my day brought but no it had to be more adventurers.

After I got home I fed the sweet almost 3 year old that I watch and put her down for a nap.

I had enough time to shower fix my hair and go get Ben.

So I took off to get Ben with Shelly watching little M.

As I was getting Ben Miss M woke up with a poppy diaper, walked pass Shelly with out her seeing went down the stairs to the landing where her diaper bag is, Took the diaper off sat on the stairs and put her big girl panties on Just as I walk in the door.

I just started laughing I said M you don't change your own diaper , Shell said is that what that smell is.

I cleaned up M then cleaned up my carpeted stairs.

I then walked in the Bed room where M sleeps to see that she had highlight all over the walls.

Yep I want a do over today sucked.

I do have to say When I sat down finely and read all the comments from my previous post Mixed emotions I couldn't stop laughing.

I especially loved what Em said

"I have actually been thinking about that a lot lately. I don't think I'd survive actually. My daughter will be 18 in 8 months. I plan to put bars on her windows and lock her in her room. I'll cut a small hole in her door so I can feed her and I'll confiscate her cell phone so she can't call for help. She has a bathroom in her room so she's all okay there. Yep ~ that's my plan."

I really couldn't stop laughing.

Thank you every one for your nice comments and support especially all of you who have had children leave the nest.

Every one of your comments lift my spirits and make me feel better about this new journey in life.

Mixed emotions..

Things are happening to fast.

Kadie announced last wednesday that she was engaged and told me today that she was moving out on Saturday into her new apartment.

Apparently the person that was in the apartment decided to leave early so Kadie was asked if she would be willing to move in right away.

I really wanted to cry because I thought I would have a few more months with her in our home before she ties the knot.

Some days I just wish I could stop time.

Question of the day.

For those of you who have been in my shoes of having a child who has left the nest or gotten married, how did you feel and how did you handle it.

And for those of you in not in my shoes how do you think you are going to feel when your children start getting married or start leaving the nest?

Rock'n The Track field !!

Over the weekend Garrett had a track  meet.

I wasn't able to go but his Dad went and took some great shots.

Here he is getting ready to the jump the running long jump.

He did great until he fell and they had to measure here his hand hit instead of his feet.

FYI I use to do the running long jump in track and I was quite good at it.

Garret was also in the 4x 200 relay he was the anchor there team was loosing in a bad way

until Garret got the baton.

He took the team from last to second place missing 1st by mere seconds.

I really wish I was there to see the look of pride on his face.

I envied Dan my soon to be son and Mike our wonderful supportive neighbor.

I am so glad they were there to cheer him on.

I know that my Daddy Grandpa Pete would have loved to have seen his grandson Rocking the track field just like he did in his day.

Garrett I love you and I am so proud of all you do!

You Rock My boy!

Yummy Symphony Brownies

These yummy nummy Brownies are sure to please.

These are super easy brownies to make.

All you do is take your favorite brownie recipe(min just happens to be betty crocker )

Make it according to directions

Next fill half the pan with the mix

then add the symphony bar on top

Now add the rest of the brownie mix bake at 350 for about 45mins

Then cut your self a piece and enjoy.

A special mothers day gift from William!

At church today an amazing thing too place.

As I was listing to a young man getting ready to leave for his mission talk about the love that he had for his mother, he read a poem and as he was reading this poem about his mother an amazing thing happened.

I heard another young mans voice resiting a poem, a voice only I could here.

The poem was one I was very familiar with.

The poem is called

A baby's choice by Collen M StoryDid you ever think, dear Mother,

As the seeds of me you sowed,

As you breathed new life inside of me

And slowly watched me grow,

In all your dreams about me

When you planned me out so well,

When you couldn't wait to have me there

 After the words of the poem I silently said thank you William..

     I then heard him whisper I love you mom.

It was all very brief the moment only lasted about a minute and a half.

I never expected to here from William today.

I am very grateful for the tender mercies of a loving Heavenly Father who loves us and know our needs even when we don't.

Happy Mothers day to all the wonderful Mothers in my life.

She looks so young and beautiful.

I am the little baby in the yellow, the blond little girl is my sister Crystal.

My mom was very creative and fun when we are little.

She always had gave us a little present on our siblings birthdays so we wouldn't fell left out.

She always made holiday exciting and magical.

She made the best birthday cakes ever angel food cake with fluffy pink frosting.

I think that was my birthday cake every year until I left home.

She always made sure we were perfectly dressed for Easter every thing shiny and new.

She did this to remind us of the resurrection.

She had a talk with the Easter bunny so he would come on Saturday instead of Sunday so we could focus on the Atonement instead of the Easter bunny.

She was there for me when I became a mother for the first time.

She was the best labor coach.

She did what she could for me when William died, she doesn't know this but she taught me how to truly forget and forgive and that everyone makes mistake.

Cleaning the Town is fun to do to do to do to do!

To day was the Palmer's clean up day!

The whole city got together and cleaned up the winter yucky's.

It was nice to see the community working together.

Afterwards our little town had a BBQ.

Ben and Maddy had fun eating and putting there names in a bucket to win new bikes.

I just had fun being with my two littlest.

I also enjoyed teaching them to take pride in there community.

Miss Kathleen made me the most amazing apron!

Heidi Grace is one of my favorite designers and Moonlight kisses is my favorite line.

She also sent me this yummy cupcake cook book

And these adorable pot holders and kitchen towel.

She also sent me my favorite candy bar but I ate it!

Thank you Kathleen every thing was wonderful!

Kadies getting married!

So I was reading facebook tonight and right as I got on the first post was from my daughter announcing that she was engaged..

I was like what?

little did I know that they were on there way to see me and little did she know I had just gotten on facebook.

When she got in the house I could barley contain myself.

I was just so excited!!

She quickly gave me a hug and we were both trying to hold back tears.

She told me the proposal story .

It was so cute!

They went 4 wheeling and when the got to the top of the mountain he told her he made something for her.

He hands here this homemade bracelet with letters on it.

She looked at it like you made me a bracelet.

Then she read the message.

Marry me or the way he spelt it marri me (because there was no Y in the letter blocks he had)

Then he got down on one knee and showed her the ring and officially popped the question.

I am so excited for her and for our family.

I just cant believe there only giving me 3 month to plan a wedding.

August is going to be here before I know it.

And the strangest part is I will be A MOTHER IN LAW..

I love a man in uniform

Dale got an award from the Toppers for outstanding  performance as a trooper Chaplin .

He did not know he was getting this award and was surprised when the called his name.

He whispered to me did you know?

I smiled and said yes!

I think he was suprised that I could keep a scerect.

My qustion of the day can you keep a screct?

Our Alaskan sky!

I think here in Alaska the sky always looks like a painting.

I never get tiered of looking at it..

Benny Boy lost his first tooth:(

Ben lost his first tooth tonight, it was kinda sad for me, because it's just more proof my baby is growing bigger.

After he lost his tooth he yelled out the window to our neighbor "Hey Riley I just lost my tooth"

Riley yells back " I don't know where it is Ben"

We all couldn't stop laughing.

I just love the things little kids say.

Snugly Blanket Tutorial..

I made this fabulous blankly yesterday out of fun designer fabric and Chenille My favorite snugly fabric.

It was so easy peasy as easy as making a Burp rag

Here is what you need

1 fun fabric

1 yard of Chenille

a sewing machine

thread

sciors

First cut the selvage edge off the fabric.

Then take the piece of fabric and cut the chenille the same size as the fabric.

It's aproxsemently 34X34

Pin the 2 pieces right sides together then sew a 1/4 seam all the way around leaving about a 2 in opening in the middle so you can turn it.

Once you have turned it sew a 1/4 in seam all the way around the fabric

closing the opening.

It is super easy and super cute when your done.

I loved this one sew much that I think I am keeping it for my self!

I will be making some more to send to my good friend Shaina

She is asking for donations for blankets to take to the Denver's children's hospital  where here sweet baby Kimble received excellent care before and after his heart surgeries.

The princess and the Queen

Once upon a time,

This princess and this queen were supposed to go and meet other princess and queens through out the lad for lunch.

But this dorky queen wrote down the wrong time.

So the little princess wouldn't be sad the dorky Queen kissed her and said lets go visit another queen.

The little princess said "which Queen might we go and see?" The now smart queen said The dairy queen of course.

The little princess was very happy with the dorky queens choice.
